The Golf Club at Camelot
The Golf Club at Camelot has a long tradition of providing outstanding golf in this part of Wisconsin, and has recently been renovated and improved. We offer players four sets of tee boxes so that you can have an outstanding time of the course regardless of your skill level.
Among the water holes is No. 6, a par-4 measuring 324 yards from the back and 295 from the front. This hole has a stream to carry that rambles by directly in front of the green. It's also one of our best view holes. "A smart play here is to lay up short of the stream using a mid to long iron or hybrid club, then your second shot should be about 100 yards or less to the green," Roos says.
Our 9th (490 yards from the back and 407 from the front) is a dogleg left par-5 with a first shot off the tee that has to carry water.
"It's not too hard to do," Roos says. "You just have to get your ball up in the air. Then on the second shot, you'll have to carry a stream, although some long hitters are able to carry the pond and the stream on their first shot. But most golfers are going to have to make three shots to reach the green."
No. 11 is a 297-yard par-4 (280 from the front tees) that inspires some big hitters to take a shot at driving the green, Roos says.
Among our most photogenic holes is the par-3 13th (194 yards from the championship tees and 117 from the front). You'll stand on a very elevated tee box, with about a 120 foot drop to the fairway and get a view of the entire course spread out in front of you. This hole is so picturesque that brides often choose to have their ceremonies here. The 13th hole is actually a sister to the par-3 No. 2 that you played earlier in your round.
"Every time you play this hole, it turns out differently," says Roos about 13. "Because of the way the wind can change, you can go up or down two clubs."
You'll find the 15th hole (405 yards from the back and 371 from the front) to be very similar to the 6th with an elevated tee box and a stream to carry in front of the green. But the 15th was recently redone to create a more open feeling along the fairway.
